In prayer we express thankfulness in all circumstances in obedience to God’s will (1 Thes 5:18). We pray with a thankful heart, knowing that God is at work for our good in all things (Rom 8:28). We pray with thankful assurance that nothing can separate us from the love of God found in the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom 8:35-39).

Through prayer we express thankfulness from a grateful heart for every grace that comes down to us from the Father of the heavenly lights. In prayer we receive blessing upon blessing from a gracious God who never changes––for which we are forever thankful (James 1:17).
In God’s presence we praise and give thanks from the depths of our human hearts to our Lord and King, blessing his holy name for all his daily benefits––the outpouring of his goodness upon our lives (Ps 103:1-5). In prayer we worship and give thanks joining with everything that has breath in exalting his name (Ps 150:6).
