God’s Gracious Hand of Protection

“One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.” So Paul stayed in Corinth for a year and a half, teaching them the word of God” (Acts 18:9-11).

How does the work of God advance on earth? How can we go forth fearlessly with the words of life to a lost world? Does God still miraculously open doors for his servants? How can we be assured of the protection of the Almighty as we take a step of faith desiring to do his will? 

As we walk and live in the Spirit, dwelling in unmeasurable grace, we continually see through the eyes of faith the Lord’s hand of mercy graciously and powerfully at work. He gives visions to his sons and daughters. He leads his followers through divine arrangements and divine appointments, accomplishing his gracious purpose of saving a lost world.

As we breathe in and exhale divine unfailing grace and love, longing and praying for his will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, we by faith daily see his redemptive purposes unfolded before our very eyes. The Lord opens and closes doors, doing what is impossible for men, bringing honor and glory to his own holy name.

The Spirit of grace speaks to our hearts words of comfort and assurance, reaffirming the closeness of his presence and his hand of protection upon our lives. As the Angel of the Lord surrounds us we endure hardship as ambassadors of the gospel, laboring in the center of his will, making disciples as we teach and preach the imperishable word of God. With hearts full of grace and love he leads us by his Spirit to the wandering people he is calling unto himself.
